Hi Gals,
I am in Florida for the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard. Last year at this event I got to interview Lauren Thompson and Cara Robinson (now Cara Banks!)! In case you missed those interviews here they are!
Lauren Thompson Interview...NH Golfer Gal:
When did you start playing golf?
Lauren:
I started playing in High School and College!
NH Golfer Gal:
What is your favorite thing about golf?
Lauren:
I love being outside!!
NH Golfer Gal:
What is the best round you have ever played?
Lauren:
My best score is 86!
NH Golfer Gal:
What is the worst round you have ever played?
Lauren: 
I think it might of been more than 110☹☹!!
NH Golfer Gal: 
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you on the golf course?
Lauren: 
The most embarrassing thing that happened to me on the golf course was when I forgot a glove and my hands were covered in blisters!
NH Golfer Gal:
Who would you want to play with in your dream foursome?
Lauren:
My dad died when I was little so I would choose him, my grandfather and Arnold Palmer!!
NH Golfer Gal:
If you were in charge of the PGA or the LPGA for a day what would you change?
Lauren:
I would do more with kids!

The tournament that you most prefer is...?
Lauren: 
I most prefer the Masters!

What did you study in school?
Lauren:
I studied Nursing!

I usually get to play every other week, or so!

Yes, I want my kids to play, but I won't force them into the game!

My favorite sound is my 3 year old laughing!

Cara:
I am from London, England!

Do many girls play golf in England?
Cara:
Sort of, not many your age!
NH Golfer Gal:
How do they get girls to play in England?
Cara:They make the game more fun and enjoyable!
NH Golfer Gal:
How old were you when you started playing golf?
Cara:
I started playing in my 20's, but I would have liked to have started earlier!
NH Golfer Gal:
How did you get into TV?
Cara:
I had always wanted to be in TV!
NH Golfer Gal:
Who would you want to play with in your dream foursome?
Cara:
In my dream foursome I would want to play with my brother, Arnold Palmer and Seve!

Cara:
HANDICAPS!!

Cara:
That golf can be really frustrating.

I would include a mixed event!!

Cara:
This one is tough, even though I am British and should say The Open I will have to say The Masters!!

Cara:
Blue!

The Bath!

 Today I played golf in the ladies scramble! I had so much fun!
Left to Right, Me, my sister Teagan, and my grandmother!!
We finished second place with a 30! Great Job Team! Our team consisted of me, Teagan, my grandmother and a very nice lady named Donna!
We had so much fun! If you ever have the chance to play in a ladies scramble definitely do, it is fun and gets you playing with other ladies!
Get out there and shovel, shoveling is good for your golf swing!

I have been really busy, with school starting and golf! The U.S. Kids Tour! The U.S. Kids Tour is a great way to introduce kids to tournament play! The U.S. Kids Tour plays good courses for kids and has good age groups!! There are tours in a ton of states, but there isn't one in NH. We will have to work on that. I love playing in a tournament setting, because it helps me practice under pressure, it helps me get used to having a lot of people watching me and it is fun to compete against other girls my own age!!   Hi everyone, This post is a bit different from things I tend to talk about but it's the reality of my journey to date having played two full seasons on my high school's varsity golf team as the youngest player and as the only girl. Please take the time to read this because I am sure that there are other people with similar experiences, be it under the same circumstances or different.  I apologize for the long delay in this post. I have been busy focusing on school and golf for the past few weeks and didn't find the time that I felt this post deserved as it is a big one.  Last season (for more details about last season check out those posts) I was a freshman and things were challenging with us being remote for school and everything going on with covid. Interview with Mallory Blackwelder Trudeau!

Hi Gals, Sorry it took me a few more days than anticipated to get this up school got busy. This week's post is a super exciting one! I have an interview with Mallory Blackwelder Trudeau. Mallory grew up around the game of golf, went on to play collegiately, turn pro, play the 2015 season on the LPGA tour,  contest on The Big Break (where she ended up meeting her husband!). She is currently working as a player-manager with Fairwhay Management and taking care of her toddler Madeleine. I had the opportunity to meet Mallory at TPC Boston in 2017 during the Deutsche Bank Championship. She was there working with Danny Lee (other posts on my blog about Danny!) and I introduced myself.
