NHIAA GOLF!

Hi Gals,

I hope everyone is having a good Monday so far. Who is watching the final round of the US Women's Open today? I love watching women's golf (men's too I just like all golf) and I feel like I learn so much!

Last Thursday I attended the NHIAA golf committee's meeting along with Natalie Morhun to speak to the committee about the letter that I wrote along with many of my female golf friends who play high school golf here in NH. The letter was about the fact that golf was up until then recognized as "boys golf" and that excluded the growing number of girls participating and playing on their school's golf teams. I am super excited to be able to say that it is now called "golf"! Having it be called just golf with no gender identity included and have it just be the sport is so exciting. Golf is a game for everyone regardless of gender, race, background, etc. anyone can play this sport. This is just one small step towards creating a more equitable game for everyone but I am so glad to be able to say that it has happened. Thank you to all the girls and to everyone on the golf committee!
